Biolink products have been effectively used for many years. Trial results both here and overseas have shown the following:
Significant increase in plant growth
Over two consecutive years, a gradual yet significant increase was measured in:
- plant height
- the number of aerial stems per plant
- leaves surface area
- total chlorophyll
- number of shoots
- dry matter percentage
Increased quality in potato crops
Trials with potatoes showed increased:
- tuber quality in terms of specific gravity
- starch percentage
- protein percentage, and
- dry matter percentages
Increased quality and yield in soybean crops
Trials in soybeans reflect similar results to the potato trials with significant positive results for:
- Yield
- pods per plant
- proteins levels and
- oil content
Recent Australian trials show positive results with Biolink solutions
Here are just a few of the most recent trials:
A 2022 trial with leading wagyu beef producer Niu River Pastoral in Victoria using Biolink™ Opti-Gut Probiotic had promising results:
- Increase Weight Gain with Less Feed: The supplemented group ate less yet gained more weight over the same period.
- More Animals Ready for Joining Earlier: There was an increase in the number of animals ready for joining. This led to an increase in the number of animals bred.
- Healthier Calves: Calves given Opti-Gut as a supplement to their normal feeding regime were the “healthiest calves” the manager had ever seen.
A 2023 field trial at SA beef producer Yarralinka Co. indicated that Biolink™ Opti-Gut Probiotic boosts feed efficiency:
- Better Feed Efficiency: The Opti-Gut group exhibited reduced feed intake while maintaining higher weight gain than both control groups. This result demonstrated increased feed efficiency.
- Increased Weight Gain: Despite starting with a smaller average life weight, the Opti-Gut group showed higher daily weight gain than the control groups.
- Comparable Carcase Performance: Although there were slight differences in average carcase weight and dressing per cent between groups, the Opti-Gut group showed comparable results in other carcase parameters such as P8 fat and Marbling category.
A 2024 independent trial with WA wheat crops showed improved resilience using Bio-Hum Soil Drench:
- Improved Crop Safety & Vigour: At the highest UAN rate (100%), Bio-Hum Soil Drench improved crop safety, as observed in early plant emergence. NDVI and biomass assessments showed slight improvements in crop vigour with Bio-Hum at the highest UAN rate, suggesting a positive impact on overall crop health.
- A boost to Root Development & Soil Health: Bio-Hum-treated crops had larger and healthier root systems, indicating improved soil health and more vigorous root development.
- Increased Green Leaf Area Retention: In the dry conditions of September and October, Bio-Hum-treated crops retained green leaf area longer than those without Bio-Hum, which likely helped manage moisture retention and stress during the dry period.
